The flagship of the O’Hara’s brand, this uniquely Irish stout brings one back to how Irish stouts used to taste. First brewed in 1999, it has since been awarded prestigious honours for its quality and authenticity. O’Hara’s Irish Stout has a robust roast flavour complemented by a full-bodied and smooth mouth feel. The generous addition of Fuggle hops lends a tart bitterness to the dry espresso-like finish. This sessionable stout beer is filled with rich complex coffee aromas mingled with light liquorice notes. The combination of traditional stout hops with an extra pinch of roast barley allows us to stay true to Irish tradition, recreating a taste so often yearned for by stout drinkers.

  • Tap 08 - Sonoma The Hatchet Organic Apple Hard Cider

Ah, a paradoxical case of small = large. After decades of tinker, tweak, improvise and analyze, David honed in on a surprising insight: size matters. Smaller organic apples simply yield bigger, more intense flavors. And so, The Hatchet was born. Intensity behind us, the subtle work of balance and nuance began. Using a unique blend of native organic apples, we handcraft each batch to bring out fresh, ripe apple aromas, carefully pairing sweet and tart varietals to ideal effect. The result is a clean, refreshing hard cider with noticeable complexity and a lively finish. All hail the little things. To our tastes, there’s simply more going on in here. Cheers.

  • Tap 10 - Sonoma The Washboard Organic Sarsaparilla Vanilla Hard Cider

Our first task – getting the Sarsaparilla root from its bark-like form into smaller pieces (this helps more of the Sarsaparilla flavor to come through). Our poor old school kitchen blender was hardly up for this task, but when it was done we steeped an apple cider blend with the Sarsaparilla and a touch of vanilla. This combination gives the cider a mild earthy flavor, offset by warm, creamy notes of vanilla and caramel. The final product – The Washboard – is herbaceous and dry with a long lasting creamy finish that is reminiscent of rootbeer without the sweetness.

  • Tap 11 - Sonoma The Anvil Organic Bourbon Hard Cider

David and Robert both love bourbon. We mean love bourbon. Maybe that’s why they didn’t beat around the bush here. Sure, you can age subtly in bourbon barrels. And subtlety is sometimes enough. But, with the Anvil, the real spark ignited when we tossed nuance aside and added a healthy measure of our proprietary barrel-proof bourbon flavor. Suddenly, something intense, alive and memorable happened. To our palates, it offers a clean, lively, aromatic presence with a layered smoky finish. It’s truly integrated and rounded, yet vitally distinct. Enjoy.

    Tap 16 - NITRO - Southern Tier 2xStout

Double Milk Stout "2 varieties of hops & 3 types of malts" Milk stout, also called ‘cream’ or ‘sweet’ stout, is a stout containing lactose, a sugar derived from milk. Because lactose is unfermentable by beer yeast, it adds sweetness and body to the finished beer. Milk stouts have been claimed to be nutritious, and were marketed as such in the early 1900s with claims that would make the FDA wince. One ad read, “Ideal for nursing mothers, for the healthy, for the invalid, and for the worker.” Surely! Of course, we couldn’t stop at a traditional milk stout. Ours is a double, an addition to our 2X line, and at 7.5% abv is every bit as delicious as it sounds. To your health!

  • Tap 17 - Spencer Trappist Ale

America's First Trappist Beer Our recipe was inspired by the traditional refectory ales known as patersbier (“fathers’ beer” in Flemish) in Belgium. These sessionable beers are brewed by the monks for their dinner table and are typically only available at the monastery. Spencer is a full-bodied, golden-hued ale with fruity accents, a dry finish and light hop bitterness. The beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized, preserving live yeast that naturally carbonates the beer in the bottle and keg and contributes to the beer flavor and aroma.

  • Tap 18 - Stone Old Guardian Barleywine

Barley wines are traditionally hefty brews, but ours is downright excessive. The huge maltiness of this beer is only tamed by an equally prodigious addition of hops, creating a rich, slightly sweet, caramel-hued ale infused with assertive bitterness and bright hop notes, all culminating in a pleasing dryness. While it will evolve into an even more glorious brew with age, this beer's delicious onslaught of flavors will seriously challenge your ability to wait any longer to drink it.

  • Tap 19 - Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale

Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard we have fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were experimenting with variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

Tap 20 - Saltwater Wild Seas Batch #1 Wild Ale

Wild Seas 1 is the first wild ale from our new rotating series. It is a blended beer that is 50% a Bock and 50% and dark sour ale from our oak barrels. All of our sours from these barrels are made with our house sour yeast that has infected the barrels. We grew this yeast strain ourselves with the wild yeast floating around the brewery. This beer has some roastiness to it with a tart finish. It is our sour with training wheels because it is blended with a non-sour beer.

It is made from spontaneously fermented and barrel-aged beer of at least 18 months in age. The beer is cooled overnight in a large, shallow metal vessel called a coolship and then fermented and aged in large oak foudres which are made in France and assembled on-site at Bockor.

  • Tap 25 - Dogfish Head Burton Baton IPA

For Burton Baton, we brew two "threads," or batches, of beer: an English-style old ale and an imperial IPA. After fermenting the beers separately in our stainless tanks, they're transferred and blended together in one of our large oak tanks. Burton Baton sits on the wood for about a month. When enjoying the Burton Baton, you'll find an awesome blend of the citrus notes from Northwestern hops melding with woody, vanilla notes from the oak. The wood also tends to mellow the 10% ABV of Burton, so tread cautiously!

Tap 28 - Cigar City Cucumber Saison

The humble gherkin. Usually we encounter this unassuming green fruit pickled or sliced and flung atop a salad. But the cucumber has so much more to offer us. It is a remarkably refreshing gourd with the power to cool a dry tongue and when just two sliced wheels are placed atop the eyes of a lounging lass in a stock photo ad for a spa the mythical cucumber has the magical ability to justify obscene spa service fees. Truly an amazing botanical gift to the world. We chose to employ the cucumber in a low gravity Saison to create a refreshing seasonal ale redolent with notes of honey, tropical fruit, lemon bitterness, and of course cucumbers. Brewed as a survival tool for the Florida Summer this cucumber creation features Citra and Sorachi Ace hops. So put some cucumber wheels on your eyes, lean back, relax and enjoy. Ahhhhhhh. Pours a hazy light gold with big aroma of cucumber and lemon zest. Flavor has pronounced cucumber, with lemon and slight tropical notes from the hops. Refreshing finish.

Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrel. We attribute this to what the bourbon maker calls the “angel’s share”. Elegantly smooth and modestly carbonated, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a fine sipping ale with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted Kentucky bourbon.

Key West Sunset Ale is an American medium-bodied amber ale with a tropical twist. Brewed with 2-row and caramel malts, blended with First Gold, Chinook and Mount Hood hops, to create a crisp, satisfying taste.

  • Tap 53 - Smuttynose Rhye IPA

A hoppy IPA, with rye spiciness and big hop character. Bulling its way from our Big Beer Series: Rhye IPA! In craft beer, there are almost as many bad rye puns as there are bad hop puns; Smuttynose is happy to spare you from more of either. Instead, we’ll tell you about our new Big Beer, Rhye IPA. We brewed it because we like drinking hoppy American-style beers and we wanted a chance to brew with rye. The rest, as they say, is history. The result is a 7% hoppy IPA, with rye spiciness and big hop character. This beer will really get under your armor…

  • Tap 55 - Fuller's Chiswick Bitter

Refreshing and eminently drinkable at just 3.5% ABV, Chiswick Bitter is a popular pint ingrained in London’s history. All those years after its launch, the dry, hoppy ale is still brewed right here in the capital – and it tastes better than ever. That’s because we’ve refined the brewing process so the pour settles more quickly, making for a cleaner, fresher taste – and a shorter wait before you joyously raise the pint glass to your lips.

Tap 57 - Due South Caramel Cream Ale

Our Caramel Cream Ale was developed to showcase the wonderful caramel notes in dark crystal malts. In addition to the malt complexity and creamy mouthfeel, this beer finishes with a hint of vanilla. There are no substitutes for this very special American Ale. Interesting Fact: The unforgettable flavor of this beer is the result of 100′s of test brews to refine the recipe and method. Head brewer and brewery owner, Mike Halker, brewed this beer for his wife Jodi who, for 2 years, kept saying “almost” until he worked his magic and made it the beer it is today.

Join us as we tap a real treat to top off the 4th of July Weekend (cause you know you did not want to be at work anyways on this Monday)..... We are Tapping Sonoma Cider The Washboard Sarsaparilla Vanilla Organic Hard Cider and The Crowbar a Habanero Lime Organic Hard Cider. Keep the Pint Glass Night too! Brewery representation will be here from 6-8pm. About the ciders: The Washboard Sarsaparilla Vanilla Surely there was an easier way to go about this – at least that’s what we were thinking as we looked at the hundreds of pounds of organic Sarsaparilla root we needed to make The Washboard. The Crowbar Habanero Lime "Blend of bone-dry organic hard cider with fresh organic lime juice and just-picked habanero peppers. Fresh bright pepper on the nose and hints of heat through the finish. Notes of coriander add complexity and depth throughout."
