Roughly one-third of the final blend is freshly brewed beer; the rest is aged for up to a year (or more!) in both first and second use whiskey casks.

  • Tap 07 - Magners Original Irish Hard Cider

We love making cider, but we reckon there’s only one way to do it properly. That’s why we’re still taking inspiration from the historic methods we used when we started making cider back in 1935. That’s part of the Magners taste. So in this way we use 17 varieties of apples, waiting until they drop before pressing and filtering them in the traditional way. We take time to ferment the cider and even more time to let it mature, up to 2 years in fact, tasting it along the way. Sure, there are faster ways of making cider, but then it wouldn’t be Magners.

Kasteel Rouge is a unique blend of Kasteel Donker and a sweet cherry liqueur. This fruity beer makes a great aperitif on a sunny terrace. La Trappe and Brunswick Bierworkshas collaboration. Ora et Labora translates as “Pray and Work”, which is the creed of the Trappist Monks. The beer is a stern 7.5% ABV “New World Double Bock” and was brewed by La Trappe’s brouwmeester Lodewijk Swinkels alongside Brunswick Bierworks master brewer Christian Riemerschmid von der Heide. The collaboration weaves traditional krausen fermentation with a mighty maltbill and a unique blend of Opal, Loral, Mandarina Bavaria and Ontario Newport hops sourced from the Americas and Europe; bridging the two worlds of brewing. The recipe that Lodewijk and Christian have designed is “double bock” in strength. The ingredients and process with re-fermentation is like a wheat double bock – however the fermentation and yeast is like grand cru.

Our Screamin’ Reels India Pale Ale is anything but pale. The hops in this beer slam your tongue like a school of Dolphin in the spread, making those reels scream! This hoppy Florida IPA also pays homage to the West Coast style. Big tangerine nose from the summit hops. Grapefruit and Earthy bitterness from Columbus hops. Light malt profile to allow the hops to shine through. Our flagship IPA starts with a big tangerine nose from the Summit hops used in this brew.

  • Tap 56 - Dogfish Head Burton Baton Oak Aged Imperial IPA

This oak-aged hybrid has been gaining popularity over the past few years and is now available year-round. For Burton Baton, we brew two "threads," or batches, of beer: an English-style old ale and an imperial IPA. After fermenting the beers separately in our stainless tanks, they're transferred and blended together in one of our large oak tanks. Burton Baton sits on the wood for about a month. When enjoying the Burton Baton, you'll find an awesome blend of the citrus notes from Northwestern hops melding with woody, vanilla notes from the oak. The wood also tends to mellow the 10% ABV of Burton, so tread cautiously!

Interesting Fact: The unforgettable flavor of this beer is the result of 100′s of test brews to refine the recipe and method. Head brewer and brewery owner, Mike Halker, brewed this beer for his wife Jodi who, for 2 years, kept saying “almost” until he worked his magic and made it the beer it is today.
