St-Louis Premium Framboise is a frambozenbier, or raspberry beer, based on a lambic. St-Louis Premium Framboise contains 25% juice from Willamette raspberries with their pure, natural sugars. It is a thirst-quencher with a low alcohol content. It’s a very fruity beer with a beautiful balance between the sweet taste of the raspberries and the slightly sour taste of the lambic.
Tasting Notes: Marionberry Braggot combines Marioberries, grown and hand-picked at Rogue Farms, with Hopyard Honey, collected from 7,140,289 Rogue Farms honeybees to create a true taste of the terroir of the Wigrich Appellation. What is a Braggot? The Braggot is quite an old drink, there is a mentioned in Chaucer, Canterbury Tales in the late 1300s, and there are earlier references dating even further back to the 12th century in Ireland. Braggot is simply made by blending spices and herbs with mead and beer, to produce a strong concoction with uncommon flavors.

Cellar 3 Limited Reserve Series Wild Ale brewed with spices aged in Red Wine Barrels with Brettanomyces. Dry Hopped Fresco Sauvage came to fruition due to mishaps in Paso Robles vineyards. At Cellar 3 we embrace Brettanomyces, a wild yeast strain that can wreak havoc on wineries. Once it has locked onto a wine barrel there's no removing it. We were gifted a set of these discarded barrels and filled them with our beloved Green Flash Saison. A hefty hopping with Citra and Simcoe hops impart bright pops of citrus aroma and elegant, fruity notes. The resulting beer is bright, refreshing, slightly tart, and has become a tasting room favorite.
Barrel-Aged Sour Ale Originally brewed as a collaboration between Boulevard's Brewmaster Steven Pauwels and Side Project Brewing owner/brewer Cory King, Show Me Sour was inspired by their mutual admiration for low ABV, Belgian table beers. A touch of acidity, some dehusked black malts for a rich, dark color, plus a short time in whiskey barrels before being blended back with fresh beer, make for a unique and inviting beer that's our play on a whiskey sour.

Brewed with drinkability and refreshment high in our minds. Simple, clean, easy-to-have more than one. Dry and crisp with mild yeasty citrus notes. More hops on the palate than in the nose. The beer is carefully balanced so that hops play off equally with malt and citrus. Intentionally not heavy or complex.
Quadraphonic is the strongest of our Abbey series and is meant to be sipped and savored. It is a dark brown ale with a complex profile. On the nose, expect malty sweetness with complex esters including some dark fruit aromas (raisin, plum, fig). The mouth feel is medium carbonation with full body, there is a rich creamy head. The flavor is rich and full, a real “mouth bomb”. Malt flavors predominate, with spicy and dark fruit notes raisins and dark cherries with dark chocolate come to mind. It is fairly dry for the ABV, keeping it “digestible” as the Belgians would say. This is a smooth drinking beer that can be dangerous, go easy on this one!
First Quadrupel in the world. 25 years ago, The Koningshoeven brewery baptized her beloved Quadrupel under the approving glance of the monks. A closely guarded recipe became reality, and the first Quadrupel beer in the world was born. Warm amber-coloured with a crème-coloured head. Aroma has hints of cloves and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana. A full, warming and intensive taste. Malty with the sweet tones of date and caramel. Smooth and light bitter aftertaste.
A peat-smoked ale brewed with maple syrup Pour this over pancakes. Vast in character, luscious and complex, Immort Ale was born at our brewpub in 1995. For this beer, we use maple syrup from Red Brook Farm (Sam's family farm in Western Massachusetts), peat-smoked barley and vanilla. Immort is fermented with a blend of English and Belgian yeasts, then aged in the big oak tanks at the brewery. The sweet and earthy flavors meld magnificently in the Immort Ale. But be warned, the ABV is 11%.
This oak-aged hybrid has been gaining popularity over the past few years and is now available year-round. For Burton Baton, we brew two "threads," or batches, of beer: an English-style old ale and an imperial IPA. After fermenting the beers separately in our stainless tanks, they're transferred and blended together in one of our large oak tanks. Burton Baton sits on the wood for about a month. When enjoying the Burton Baton, you'll find an awesome blend of the citrus notes from Northwestern hops melding with woody, vanilla notes from the oak. The wood also tends to mellow the 10% ABV of Burton, so tread cautiously!
An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means "holy tree," and its wood has been used in South American wine-making communities.
Award-winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a unique sipping beer with the distinctive nose of well-crafted bourbon. Our Kentucky Ale is aged for up to six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s finest distilleries. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth and robust.
A perfect blend of vanilla and bourbon notes make this cream ale irresistible. Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale is our take on a classic American style of beer. We took a cold-conditioned cream ale, brewed with a hint of flaked corn and bourbon vanilla beans, and aged it in freshly decanted bourbon barrels for a minimum of two months. Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale's medium body and 5.5% ABV make it the perfect barrel-aged beer for an all day event.
Cluck Cluck! The Chiquen has come home to roost! An amber ale brewed with rye malt and aged in rye whiskey barrels. Our first barrel aged beer here at Against the Grain is the Kentucky Ryed Chiquen. Named so because it was made in Kentucky, has a lot of Rye in it and was aged in rye barrels and it's not Chicken. As we all know (or should know) Chiquen refers to anything that is not chicken.
When you make a pot of coffee, but only use half the water, you get some pretty rich coffee. That’s the approach we took with our latest offering. OBP Squared, with half the water, has 11% alcohol by volume - twice that of original OBP. The result is a bold, distinct taste of its own. Made with twice as much real orange blossom honey, all-natural ingredients and no refined sugar, it really is the new king bee of beers.

Our Berliner Weisse is a light-bodied, super tart, refreshing wheat ale blended with Ruby Red Grapefruit. We kettle-soured this beer with lactobacillus (a "friendly" strain of bacteria that is also commonly used as a probiotic). The grain bill consists of equal parts pearl malt, wheat and spelt. The hop bill consists of a modest measure of Mandarina Bavaria hops. Inspired by a centuries old German tradition, we prepared flavored syrups to balance out the tartness and provide an extra layer of flavor and complexity. However, instead of using the traditional woodruff-flavored and raspberry syrups preferred in Germany, our syrup is made in-house from locally sourced ingredients... -Ruby Red Grapefruit: Made with Ruby Red grapefruit juice and zest (sourced from Schacht Groves) and sugar.
A perfectly crafted American Wheat Ale, that gives your fun in the sun day and everyday the drinkability it's always needed. The American hop varieties will impart a mild spice note and a subtle island citrus character.
Traditional style whitbier brewed with local oranges. Subtle spiciness from ground coriander and a super clean finish. Like the Marlin it is named after, the Heffeweizen is light and nimble with its pilsner and pale malt profile, traditional German hops, and yeast from the oldest brewery in the world. Prost.
Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue’s proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops. In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir.

You're not worthy! This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory—may something with a multimillion-dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multimillion-dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.
Dank Tank Special Release Dressed to get pressed at the fest, El Dank took one whiff of his stash of Simcoe, Mosaic and Waimea hops and dove straight in. Feeling no pain with lots to gain, El D saddled up next to a big bodied mahogany/red beauty of an ale looking to mingle a blast of his stash of tropical citrus aromas with her big bodacious sweet maltified booty. Overindulging as always, Danko peaked at 7.6% ABV, causing him to spin with the spinners ’til he spun out and was left face up in the field. Eyes open but case closed.
Our Rod Bender Red is an American style amber ale which is characterized by medium to high malt character and medium to low caramel flavor. American amber ales have a medium bitterness derived from American grown hops. They are usually darker in color which comes from the addition of darker caramel malts and typically have more body than pale ales.
Dry-hopped American Pale Ale made using a secret selection of hops to give this nice dry beer a lemon/lime aroma and citrus & slight tropical fruit flavor. Although this brew Hits the classification of an APA, it drinks like a session IPA perfect for a day on the boat fishing the reef. Reef Donkey is slang for the Greater Amberjack gamefish which inhabit our coastal wrecks and reefs.

We spent over a year prototyping R&D versions of Nu Skool. This final version is one special beer. It is an IPA with a slight malty sweetness, but overall balanced & brimming with tropical, fruity, spicy, piney & citrus character. To contrast our IPA, which most closely resembles a traditional English IPA in malt & hop bills, we wanted to brew an India Pale Ale in a new way. West Coast brewers have been brewing lighter, more "Americanized" yet still full of hop character & our brewers wanted to try their hand by brewing their take. HOP PROCESS: We used 3.5 lbs. of "new school" varieties of hops per barrel of beer. We load our hopback to the brim with Mosaic hops for a big tropical fruit character. A nice whirlpool dose of experimental hop #07270 gives the beer a flavorful, resinous character. We then dry hop this beer on two separate days with a large amount of Mosaic hops in our hop cannon & Simcoe + Equinox two days later.
